The view of the Golden Gate Bridge alone is enough reason to travel there. You can actually walk or bike across the bridge. You can also visit famous houses like the “Full House” townhouse, the “Mrs. Doubtfire” house, and the “Party of Five” house.

There are other sites to see as well like the famous Painted Ladies colorful townhouses. You can also take a trip to the Fisherman’s Wharf by the bay, and take a boat ride over to Alcatraz and learn the history behind the former prison.

There are so many decorations to see like the famous giant Christmas tree New York lights up every year. There is also the Macy’s windows; every year Macy’s decorates each of their shopping windows in a different Christmas or winter theme.

The decorations aren’t all there is to see in the city of dreams: there is also the Empire State building that you can go to the top of, the memorial of the World Trade Center, Times Square and of course the Statue of Liberty. If you just can’t stand the cold any longer, you can take a break inside a warm theater and watch a Broadway show.

Visit D.C. during the spring because that is when the cherry blossoms bloom. Every spring between late March and early April the nation’s capital goes pink. All around the city the beautiful cherry blossoms are brightening up the view for tourists that come from all over the world.

The cherry trees or “Sakuras” were given to the Unites States as a gift from the Japanese in 1910. However, the U.S. discovered they were infected with diseases and destroyed them, so Japan insisted to send more trees in late 1912 and they were planted in Washington. The trees are planted around the Tidal Basin looking in sight of the Washington Monument and the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. They are also planted along the Potomac River close to the Tidal Basin.

There are also many other historic attractions in D.C. like the National Mall, the Capital, the White House, the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and several museums that are all within walking distance of each other.
